Dr. Elise Francis is a West Virginia native. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Nutritional Sciences from West Virginia University in 2018, with Honors recognition. Following her undergraduate career, Dr. Francis attended The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May of 2023, where she also earned a certificate of recognition in Equine Field Service. Following her DVM achievement, she then stayed at tOSU for a Rotating Equine Internship, further pursuing her interests in equine medicine and lameness.
Dr. Francis is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP). Dr. Francis is certified in small animal fear-free handling. Dr. Francis aspires to provide Charleston, WV and the surrounding areas with readily-available equine ambulatory services, as well as, small animal.
Dr. Francis is married to her husband, Nick Francis and has one corgi, Remi, and two cats, Jack and Blackie. She enjoys spending time with family, baking, working out, and vacationing at their camp in Seebert, WV.
